Data for speed camera sites in Thames Valley.
The speed camera partnership, TVSRP (Thames Valley Safer Roads Partnership), supplied the following data:
Database of collisions at camera sites (9Mb): Spreadsheet
List of sites with date of 1st camera: Spreadsheet
List of Operational Sites: Spreadsheet
List of decommissioned sites (camera numbers and dates): Spreadsheet
I would like to thank TVSRP for supplying the database, the lists and all other information requested and received.
- Notes for the database: Text
- The speed camera partnership has verified all of the data: Report
- The database doesn’t contain the category “Fatal collisions” but I realised that this could be created almost entirely from the other categories.
- With some additional data, and having created the Fatal collisions category, I then produced 2 new databases:
- The 1st gathers all the data required to investigate the camera sites.
- The 2nd has the same data except collisions are expressed as a % of the area-wide totals (to compensate for road safety trends).
- Both of these new databases have pivot tables to enable searches over different time periods and for different camera types.
Camera site database with search (pivot tables) (5Mb): Spreadsheet in Zip file
Camera site % database (to compensate for trends) with search (pivot tables) (6Mb): Spreadsheet in Zip file
Graphs showing camera site data can be found here:
- 6 graphs at the end (Fixed and mobile).
- 5 graphs near the end (Mobile).
- 4 graphs lower down the page (Fixed).
- 12 graphs (Identifying the SSP at Fixed camera sites).
